I have paid my bills: Ayaz Soomro

Soomro says KESC MD Tabish Gauhar will have to 'bear serious consequences for false accusations.'

SUKKUR:
Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro said on Monday that he had paid all his electricity bills and that the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) was making false allegations of non-payment of dues against him.

While speaking to the media outside Sukkur Central Jail, Soomro said that he had issued a notice to KESC Managing Director Tabish Gauhar through his legal adviser and said that it was an “unethical” act on the part of the power supply company.

He said that Gauhar would have to “bear serious consequences for the false accusations.”

The minister rebuffed the allegations and said that he had presented the bill in front of the media.

Soomro also also went on to say that he knew how the KESC MD had “come into power.”

Earlier, KESC had cut off the power supply to Soomro’s house due to non-payment of bills mounting for the fourth month.

According to the KESC spokesperson, the minister owed Rs368,000 to the power company.
