Salaries: KMC workers threaten protest

The president of the Karachi Municipal Corporation’s (KMC) sanitary and general employees union, Syed Zulfiqar Shah, has warned that the workers will stage a sit-in at Civic Centre on Tuesday at 10 am if they were not paid for November by Monday.
He said that a powerful lobby in the finance department neglected the orders of the governor, chief secretary and administrator to pay them.
He gave an ultimatum of 72 hours and said that the administration will be responsible for the consequences.
