Students Protest: 15 marks awarded to failed students

The committee formed by Karachi University decided to award 15 marks each to the students who failed.

KARACHI:
The committee formed by Karachi University on the results of the second-year pharmacology students, decided to award 15 marks each to the students who failed. The students of Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry, Jinnah Medical and Dental College, Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences and Liaquat National Medical College protested at the press club against the results in pharmacology, according to which, 82 out of 120 students failed. The committee met on Friday. “It’s not likely that the committee will go further to take action against those who are responsible for degrading the performance of the examination department,” he added. A meeting was presided over by the pro-vice chancellor, Nasiruddin Khan. Faculty of Medicine Dean Dr SM Abbas Hussain and the controller of examinations, Prof. Javed Ansari were also present.
