Civil Secretariat: Lower staff make boss apologise
The staff roughed up a deputy secretary of Higher Education Department and forced him to apologise to a naib qasid.

Messengers, drivers and clerks roughed up a deputy secretary of the Higher Education Department and forced him to apologise to a naib qasid he allegedly beat up at the Civil Secretariat on Saturday. Officials at the Secretariat said that Deputy Secretary Tariq Saeed, an officer of the Income Tax Group serving in Punjab on deputation, had told off Allah Ditta, an elderly naib qasid, for leaving the office without telling anyone. Allah Ditta later told his colleagues that the deputy secretary had badly misbehaved, first shouting abuse at him and then beating him up when he protested. Two lawyers who were visiting the deputy secretary also took part in the beating, he told other officials.
