Media Competition: Highlighting women, minorities issues

Competition was organised by Insan Foundation Trust in collaboration with Canadian International Development Agency.

ISLAMABAD:
University students on Saturday highlighted the importance of unity to eliminate anti-women practices and religious intolerance in the society. As part of a competition on media, students from Lahore College for Women University, Government College Lahore University Faisalabad, University of Gujrat University of Sargodha and Islamia University presented television commercials, public services messages, video documentaries, radio talk shows and dramas to highlight their points. They highlighted the various forms of violence that women and minorities face in Pakistan. A project aiming to promote peace, dignity, respect, equality, and provide support and protection to minorities and women was also launched. The competition was organised by Insan Foundation Trust in collaboration with Canadian International Development Agency.
