Election Comission Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed on Friday made it clear that the Election Commission is authorised to take action against fake degree holders.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Ahmed contended that the sessions court will take action against fake degree holders. He said a senior official is devising a strategy over the degree issue, which will be in line with the orders of the Supreme Court.
The secretary said the law ministry has been urged to appoint new members for the election commission. He further said the election commission will be informed of the verification of each degree.
