12 accused of assaulting officials
Supply to 365 houses disconnected with police assistance.

A team of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), sent to disconnect illegal consumers was detained at Chak No.73-GB Satiana Road, on Thursday night.
An SNGPL spokesman said the team was attacked by 12 armed men. The spokesman said the armed men fired some shots however, no causalities were reported. He said one of the SNGPL men managed to call the office and inform about the attack.
A police party headed by Jaranwala SHO reached and recovered the detained men. The SNGPL team then removed 365 illegal gas connections.
Jaranwala Sadar police have registered a case, against the 12 armed men, under Section 386 (stopping from performing duties), 379 (Robbery), and 148 (A group attack) of the Pakistan Penal Code. However no arrests were made.
