Convoy attacked: 10 militants killed in Kurram clash

PESHAWAR:

Ten militants were killed, and two security personnel injured, during clashes in central Kurram Agency, official sources said on Thursday.

The clash between security forces and militants took place in the Jogi area of Kurram Agency. The security men were injured when militants attacked an advancing convoy, said a source. Ten militants were killed in retaliatory fire from security forces.

The death toll could not be independently verified as access to the area is prohibited due to an ongoing operation against militants.

In a separate incident, a security personnel was killed after militants attacked a security post in Tasa Khel, Upper Orakzai.
