Still breathing: Villagers find a blind Indus dolphin
Approximately 15 kilometres from Daharki.
SUKKUR:
A blind Indus dolphin, struggling for its life, was found by the villagers of Chandio Mori from Sehar Wah, approximately 15 kilometres from Daharki. The villagers released the dolphin into a nearby water pond to save its life. The Sukkur wildlife department deputy conservator, Ghulam Mohammad Gadani, said that the Sehar Wah originates from the Ghotki feeder and due to low water level in the canal, the dolphin might have slipped into the Wah in search of food. A team of wildlife department has been sent to the village to take the dolphin into custody and move it back to the river.
