Law & order: Man booked for domestic violence
After wife's argument with her in-laws, man beats his wife, separates her from their four-month-old son.
RAWALPINDI:
The Sadiqabad police on Saturday booked a man for beating his wife and separating her from their four-month-old son. Sobia Shaheen told the police that she was married to Khalid in October last year. On October 22, she got into an argument with her in-laws.
When Khalid found out, he allegedly beat her up. Later, he asked her to call her parents, claiming that he wanted to offer his brother, Sajid’s hand to her sister. When her parents came to visit her, Khalid and Sajid allegedly took out a pistol and snatched gold bangles weighing over 40 grams from her and threatened to kill her. She also alleged that Khalid was keeping their four-month-old son with him and was not letting her see him.
