Golf: Eagles lift Woods into lead
Overnight leader KJ Choi and Matt Kuchar shared second place on 139.
THOUSAND OAKS:
Tournament host Tiger Woods had two eagles in a five-under 67 to seize a three-shot halfway lead in the Chevron World Challenge. Woods, the 14-time major champion, had a 36-hole total of eight-under par 136. Overnight leader KJ Choi and Matt Kuchar shared second place on 139. Woods eagled two par-fives, the second and the 11th, and had five birdies and two bogeys on the Sherwood Country Club layout. "That was probably the highest score I could have shot," said Woods. "Apart from a few bad putts, I hit the ball really well all day."
