PESHAWAR:
National games for women will be held in Peshawar next year, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sports Minister Aqil Shah at the annual ceremony of the inter-college women’s sports day at Jinnah College for Women (JCW) on Friday. JCW won the general trophy, while Lalarukh of Frontier Education Foundation (FEF) Degree College for Girls, Tangi, was declared the best athlete of the year. JCF scored first position in volleyball, table tennis, cricket, basketball, handball and athletics, while Home Economics College clinched second position in basketball and athletics. During his address, Shah who also the chief guest promised to provide sports items to colleges.
