Petroleum products: Tanners concerned over price hike
Concerned over government’s decision to increase oil prices, as well as the closure of CNG stations for two days.
KARACHI:
Pakistan Tanners Association Chairman SM Naseem has expressed deep concern over the recent government’s decision to increase oil prices, as well as the closure of CNG stations for two days. He said that India has recently slashed POL prices to give relief to masses while in international markets the prices of petroleum products have also come down. Over the issue of CNG stations closure, he said that due to non-availability of CNG, the industries are being affected by low attendance of labour due to shortage of transport. Important work in a number of manufacturing units remained suspended in the last two days hampering the industrial activities which have resulted in great losses to the business community and also to the national exchequer, he said.
