Lahore Region posted a flawless 10-wicket victory over Quetta Region in their last pool match of the National Under-19 Women’s Twenty20 Championship. Quetta’s decision to bat first backfired as the whole team was bundled out for just 49 in 17.2 overs. Hafsa Amjad was the pick of the bowlers with her four-wicket haul. In reply, Lahore reached the target in just five overs following unbeaten knocks from openers Namra Imran (25*) and Fareeha Mahmood (19*). Amjad was named player of the match for her lethal spell with the ball. The semi-finals of the championship, being played today, will see Karachi take on Rawalpindi and Lahore faceoff with Multan for a place in the final.
