Formula One: Ecclestone extends US GP deadline
Bernie Ecclestone has given the organisers of the US Grand Prix one week to agree to a deal.
Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has given the organisers of the US Grand Prix one week to agree to a deal to host the race in 2012, according to ESPN. Ecclestone had earlier given November 30 as the deadline for the Circuit of the Americas to sign the contract, but has now extended it. “The deadline hasn’t been met but we’re still trying to make it happen,” said Ecclestone. “They need to get some money and a pen as soon as possible. If it isn’t all signed before the World Motor Sport Council meeting [on December 7], it can’t happen.”
