ISLAMABAD: The Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabi-litation Authority (ERRA) has managed to complete 7,675 from a total of 14,095 in five years. Admitting to the slow pace of the projects, an ERRA official stated that the rehabilitation work was initiated in 2006, six months after the devastating October 2005 earthquake. In 2010, the government decided to continue construction work on projects that have been 50 percent completed, delaying work on the others to a later date. The principal reason for this, he said was the financial crunch and the floods.
