Hundreds of enraged students from Government Boys Degree College Daska staged a protest in reaction to the beating up of several Insaaf Students Federation (ISF) students by rival groups. Students blocked traffic on main Daska Sialkot Road for over three hours and burnt tyres in protest. The protesters sported banners and placards against rival groups including Anjuman Taluba Islam (ATI) and People’s Students Federation (PSF), who they say beat several ISF students for supporting Imran Khan in the college. A police contingent reached the spot and assured the protesting students that stern action would be taken against the accused.
