FAISALABAD:

The body of a teenager, who was kidnapped two days ago from Raza Abad with his younger brother, was found from a field on Wednesday.

According to police officials, unidentified men kidnapped 12-year-old Abdullah and his younger brother Rahman, 9, when they were coming back from the schools on Monday. Police officials said autopsy results had confirmed that the boy was also sodomised.

“The parents started searching for them after they registered the complaint with the police. The entire village was searching for the. We found the body today,” said local villager Arsalan.

The younger brother who was also missing returned home on Wednesday morning after he “managed to escape” from the kidnappers. Rahman told police officials that he took his parents and villagers to the field where his brother had been murdered. “That was when we saw the body and called the police,” Arsalan said.

Rahman told police officials that Razabad resident Imran and his accomplices had kidnapped him and his brother Abdullah when they were returning home from school. “They beat us and locked us in a room.

They took my brother out yesterday. I managed to escape later that night because they did not return,” he told police. Rahman told police officials that the suspects had abused him and his brother.

Rahman said that his brother Abdullah had been killed for trying to escape and for putting up resistance when the kidnappers assaulted him. “They strangled him to death with his own belt. When we found the body my son had his school uniform belt around his throat and bruises all over his face,” the victim’s father Siddique told police. Raza Abad police registered a case against the accused under Section 302, 294 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code vide FIR No 949/2011.

“We have caught one of the suspects, Imran, and are searching for his accomplices,” said Investigation officer Zafar Zaman. “We discovered that Imran had been visiting his family nearby. We questioned the family and discovered Imran’s whereabouts,” he said.

Police officials have ordered a medical test for Rahman and said that they had sent Abdullah’s body for an autopsy. “The others involved in this incident will be arrested within the next 48 hours,” Zaman said.
