Olympics: Qatar eyes 2020 Olympics
The International Olympic Committee has already sent a positive signal to Doha by extending the period.

Qatar, host of the 2022 Fifa World Cup, is reaching for the moon as it eyes the 2020 Olympics despite daunting climate challenges. “Our goal is to have great games, to offer new opportunities to the Olympics,” said Qatar Olympic Committee President Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. The International Olympic Committee has already sent a positive signal to Doha by extending the period during which the games traditionally take place. For Qatar, the Olympics would take place in September.
