League leaders KRL suffered a shock defeat in the Pakistan Premier Football League when they were beaten 2-1 by a defiant Afghan FC yesterday. Afghan FC struck first through Najeebullah’s goal in the 18th minute and led 1-0 at half-time. Ahmed Shah doubled the lead in the 50th minute before KRL pulled one back through Saadullah’s goal in the 67th minute. However, Afghan FC defended resolutely thereon to secure the win. In another match, captain Arif Mehmood struck a brace to help Wapda outclass Baloch FC 2-0 in Lahore.
