Squash: Willstrop in sight of successive titles
James Willstrop proved himself the in-form player of the Professional Squash Association.
KUWAIT CITY:
James Willstrop proved himself the in-form player of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour by following his World Series title in Hong Kong with a berth in the final of the World Series event in the Kuwait PSA Cup. The Englishman posted an impressive 11-9, 11-6, 11-3 win over fifth-seed Gregory Gaultier in the semi-final. “I stopped him from having opportunities to attack, tucked him up in the back corners and played with rhythm and accuracy,” said Willstrop. He now faces second-seed Karim Darwish who had to save two game points to avoid going to a decider in an 11-4, 11-9, 5-11, 15-13 win over seventh-seed Mohamed El Shorbagy.
