Fuel Fares: Court orders 25% cut in CNG-based vehicles
While CNG was much cheaper than diesel and petrol, similar fares for CNG vehicles were unjustified.
PESHAWAR:
Peshawar High Court on Tuesday issued ordered a 25 per cent reduction in fares for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) transport.
A two-member bench, comprised of Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, issued the orders after hearing a petition a local who argued that while CNG was much cheaper than diesel and petrol, similar fares for CNG vehicles were unjustified. The court also ordered for constituting a special team to strictly implementing the decision.
