LAHORE:
Justice Ijazul Ahsan of the Lahore High Court has sought replies from the federal and Punjab governments on a petition seeking to stop schools from taking students aged below ten on out-of-town trips. After hearing the petitioner’s initial arguments on Monday, the judge directed a deputy attorney general and an assistant advocate general to seek replies from the governments and deliver them within three weeks.  Advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique filed the petition in the backdrop of the school bus accident at Kallar Kahar in which 37 people, mostly students, were killed.
