A teenage girl was killed when a bullet hit her in the head during a marriage ceremony
HARIPUR:
A teenage girl was killed when a bullet hit her in the head during a marriage ceremony in a remote village of union council Serae Nehmat Khan on Saturday night. According to police and family sources, 17-year-old Irum Bibi of Bandi Labiyal village was sitting on the rooftop of her house, while a wedding was taking place in the street. During the ceremony, some young men fired in the air; Irum was hit in the head. She was pronounced dead at the Women and Children Hospital in Haripur. The police registered a case. Four other people have been killed by firing in the air incidents in Haripur in the past six weeks.
