Workshop: Propelling the growth of young researchers

Nine scholars share their research experiences with 350 students.

To hone the development skills of young researchers, a workshop was held at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) on Saturday, said a press release issued by the university.

Nine scholars shared their research experiences with more than 350 students from 40 universities and 50 majors from all over Pakistan.

The workshop aimed on training university students about methodologies and technical aspects related to pursuing a research degree.

Special emphasis was laid on the development of various skills in the participants. The most prominent ones being producing quality research papers and poster presentations, effective written communication when applying for research grants/scholarships and sending effective applications for getting admission in overseas universities.

Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) Chairperson Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro was the chief guest.

“This platform has brought young people and scholars together, and I hope it will continue to do so,” said Dr Soomro; while applauding the effort put into hosting the workshop.
