SIALKOT:
Lok Virsa recently arranged an elaborate cultural gala in Sialkot displaying a wide array of handicrafts from all over the country. Hundreds of Sialkot residents attended the event and enjoyed a wide variety of cultural dances put on by different groups as well as art pieces that were on display. “The gala is a new initiative to promote provincial and local culture that will also help bring people from diverse cultures and regions together,” said event organiser Khurram Rasheed. “Such Lok melas remain instrumental in introducing the hidden talent scattered across the country,” he added. The event was arranged with the support of Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.
