Visit: Nawaz, Shahbaz meet students

Around 30,000 students had benefited from Punjab Educational Endowment Fund so far.

LAHORE:
Punjab government has launched several programmes aimed at creating job opportunities for the youth, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s president Nawaz Sharif on Saturday while talking to student delegations. He assured the students that the programmes – that include loans on easy terms, steps for promotion of technical education, distribution of laptops among talented students and Yellow Cab scheme – would help students stand on their feet. He advised the youth to benefit from these programmes and play their role in the development of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the Punjab government was also implementing a comprehensive programme for elimination of poverty and unemployment. He told the students that the government was going to distribute 100,000 laptops among students who perform well in exams. He also told the delegation that 30,000 students had benefited from Punjab Educational Endowment Fund so far.
