Burning Concerns: Man and wife burnt in kitchen fire

FAISALABAD: A man and his wife received severe burn injuries in the limits of the Jhang Bazaar police station on Friday. According to police officials, Ayub Coloby resident Abdul Khaliq’s wife was busy preparing food in her house and Khaliq was sitting near her when all of a sudden a bottle filled with kerosene caught fire and exploded. As a result, both Abdul Khalid and his wife received serious burn injuries and were rushed to DHQ hospital for medical treatment. Hospital officials said that both patients were in critical condition. They said that they had suffered burn injuries to over 50 per cent of their bodies.
