Bahawalpur By-Polls: DCO disclaims pre-poll favours to PML-N nominee
DCO assures all efforts would be made to keep order during the polling to ensure transparent elections.
BAHAWALPUR:
Deputy Commissioner Officer (DCO) Bahawalpur Naeem Rauf has rejected allegations of misuse of official machinery for the by-polls of PP-275 Yazman in favour of the PML-N candidate Khalid Mehmood Jajja. He termed all such allegations as fabricated.
He assured that all efforts would be made to keep order during the polling in the constituency to ensure fair, free and transparent elections.
Eleven candidates are in the run while the main contenders are PML-N’s Khalid Mehmood Jajja, PML-Q’s Ehsan-ul-Haq and independent candidate Mohammad Saeed.
A total of 115 polling stations have been set up for the November 26 by-elections, of which 49 have been declared sensitive by the authorities.
