Robbed: Expat woman deprived of Rs15m

Three armed robbers signalled her to stop but when she didn’t stop, the armed men opened fire and burst the wheels.

An expatriate woman was deprived of cash, jewellery at gunpoint in Model Town on Thursday.



Samra Fida, a native of Gujrat lodged a report with the Sihala police that she was on way to her native town in her car (LWL-8006) along with her children when three armed robbers signalled her to stop near Kak Pull (Kak bridge), but when she didn’t stop, the armed men opened fire and burst the wheels.

They broke the car’s windows and snatched foreign currency worth Rs15 million, jewellery and other valuables. The police registered a case against the robbers.
