Wapda won the 59th National Cycling Championship in Lahore with an emphatic 124-point margin. Team Wapda won eight gold, three silver and one bronze medal to accumulate 266 points at the competition, while Army earned second place with one gold, three silver and two bronze medals contributing to a points tally of 142. Sabir Ali of Wapda was declared the National Champion of 2011 after he bagged three gold and a silver medal for a grand total of 85 points. Meanwhile, Ali's teammate Naveed Ahmad was declared the Fastest Cyclist of the Championship.
