Peace Process: UN medals awarded to military observers

The United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) observed a medal parade

ISLAMABAD:
The United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) observed a medal parade at its headquarters here on Thursday. Head of the mission and Chief Military Observers (HOM/CMO) General Raul Glooddofsky awarded UN medals to military observers of the UNMOGIP for their services to the mission, said a press release. Addressing the ceremony, Gen Gloodtdofsky said “UNMOGIP contributes to enhance relationships regarding the process of peace related to the Kashmir issue through good will actions and by observing the accomplishment of the cease fire agreement.” Timo Pakkala, Designated Official, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator of the United Nations in Pakistan also awarded the UN Medal to General Raul Gloodtdofsky to recognize his outstanding command of the mission.
