Preserving history: Renovation of 866 buildings in Sindh
The Sindh antiquities department has completed a survey for the beautification of 886 historic buildings.

The Sindh antiquities department has completed a survey for the renovation and beautification of 886 historic buildings, said Antiquities Minister Makhdoom Jameel, on Wednesday. Talking to the media at the historic Mukhi House, which is in the final stages of renovation and will be inaugurated in January 2012, he said an amended antiquities bill will be given by the provincial assembly to remove confusion over the historic sites, caused by the overlap between the culture and antiquities departments.
