Power Projects: ECO Bank to finance DG Khan Cement

The Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Trade and Development Bank has signed an agreement with DG Khan Cement Limited (DGKC) to finance three projects. The loan will carry a tenor of five years with one year grace period. According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, one of the projects that ECO Trade and Development Bank (ETDB) is providing loan to DGKC is for the establishment of a waste heat recovery plant (WHR) for power generation with a capacity of 8.6 MW at the Khairpur Cement Plant. Other two projects are for the establishment of Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF) facilities in both plants which will replace coal with alternative fuels in energy production. Both projects are eligible for carbon credit and are environment friendly.
