The police claimed to have arrested a timber smuggling bid on Wednesday. Acting on a tip-off, the police blocked the road in Azad Pattan and intercepted a truck carrying highly valuable timber. The police said that the timber was being smuggled with the connivance of the forest department. The police have registered a case and started investigations.
