Cm’s Warning: Punjab to increase security in Muharram
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on people to maintain peace and a congenial atmosphere.
LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on people on Tuesday to maintain peace and a congenial atmosphere during the month of Muharram, adding that troublemakers would be dealt with an iron hand. Talking to a delegation of Ulema here, he said the law and order situation was under complete control, adding that those who were trying to create hatred among different sects were neither Muslim nor Pakistani. The chief minister said it was the prime duty of religious scholars and Ulema to expose vested interests. “Our government will foil nefarious designs of anti-social elements,” he added.
