Pessimistic pagara: PML-F leader criticises govt

Said that he does not see the possibility of elections during the remainder of his life.

KARACHI:
The chairman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), Pir Pagara, who recently turned 83, said that he does not see the possibility of elections during the remainder of his life and that the country will be run according to the ‘Law of Necessity’. A press conference was held at Kingri House on his birthday on Tuesday. He said that the army must take control of the country and steer it out of the mess that it is currently in. Pagara also lamented the state of the Pakistan Muslim League and said that the government had divided it into so many parts that the number of its leaders has outstripped the followers. He said that if other parties want to ensure their survival, they will have to join forces with the PML-F.
