Mirza in london: MQM minister writes to British PM for help

He voiced hope that Cameron would look into this, not allow British soil to be used to create lawlessness in Karachi.

KARACHI:

Information Technology Minister Raza Haroon on Monday has written a letter to British Prime Minister David Cameron expressing concern over Zulfiqar Mirza’s alleged conspiracy to incite violence in Karachi. House of Lords member Baron Nazir Ahmed was patronising this nefarious conspiracy, he alleged.

The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee member said that, at a time when peace in Karachi has been restored through much effort, Mirza was trying to foment ethnic violence in Karachi through his speeches in London.

Haroon felt Baron Ahmed’s actions were unbecoming of his position and responsibilities.

He informed the British prime minister of the Sindh Assembly’s unanimous resolution to condemn baseless allegations against President Asif Zardari and MQM leader Altaf Hussain.

He voiced hope that the premier would look into this and not allow British soil to be used to create lawlessness in Karachi.
