Pakistan is set to play in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup scheduled to be held in Malaysia in February 2012, according to a media report. A council meeting of the Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF), chaired by federation President Tengku Abdullah, fixed dates of the seven-nation tournament. The event will be played from February 2 to 12. Five teams have already confirmed availability – Belgium, New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan and hosts Malaysia. Germany has declined participation while the Netherlands have not made a final decision yet. According to the MHF, Great Britain and Argentina will be possible replacements if the Netherlands fail to confirm participation.
