In prison: Minister orders curb on drugs
Ayaz Soomro issued orders to curb the use of drugs and cell phones in jails.
KARACHI:
Sindh Minister for Jails, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ayaz Soomro issued orders to curb the use of drugs and cell phones in jails. He asked the jail administrations to install public call centres in jail so that the prisoners can talk to their families. He also ordered the project director of buildings and the chief engineer police and prisons to start the repair of jails in dilapidated condition immediately and prepare a plan for building residential colonies in jails. The colonies in Sanghar and Jacobabad were in dilapidated condition, he said.
