Life In Prison: Soomro announces jail reforms

Provincial minister for jails, law and parliamentary affairs announced that he would contribute ten computers.

KARACHI:
“There is no political prisoner in any jails of the province,” said the provincial minister for jails, law and parliamentary affairs, Ayaz Soomro, on a visit to Central Jail on Saturday. He said that if any political prisoner was found the case would be reviewed. “I have been a political prisoner for several years so I know the difficulties of prisoners.” He announced that books, newspapers and magazines will be made available to the prisoners. They will also pay jail staff the same salaries as that of the motorway police. He announced that he would contribute ten computers.
