Crime: Four shot dead, one injured

Pervez and his accomplices fled from the crime scene and police are searching for them.

Four persons were killed and one sustained critically injured in the last 24 hours in Chontra. Three persons were killed and one critically injured in a clash between two rival groups in Nihal village, in the outskirt of Chontra on Saturday.  The dead- Arshad Begum, Saghir Hussain Shah and Afzal Shah-and injured were taken to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ), where the injured man was stated to be in critical condition. 


The alleged assailants, Pervez and his accomplices fled from the crime scene and police are searching for them.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by his brother-in-law over an old enmity, police sources said. Aqib had some differences with his brother-in-law Naveed.

On Friday, Aqib was standing on a bus stand when Naveed and his accomplice arrived there and opened fire at him. Resultantly, Aqib died on the spot and the alleged murderers fled. The police registered separate cases and started investigation.
