KRL continue to lead the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) after defeating HBL 2-0 while Army earned a walkover against Pel in Rawalpindi yesterday. Saadullah scored the opening goal for KRL in the 31st minute while Mohammad Qasim provided the icing on the cake with a goal in the fourth minute of second-half injury-time. As KRL consolidated their lead with the win, HBL moved down to seventh place with 39 points after 28 matches, with Army replacing them on sixth position with 40 points. Pel have been eliminated from the league after lying bottom of the standings with eight points after 28 matches.
