Contempt of Court: Arrest warrants issued for DCO

The court has directed the DCO to appear before the court on December 14 and submit a clarification report.

Arrest warrant for DCO Lahore, Ahad Cheema, for not complying with court orders was issued by a judge on Friday. The warrants, issued by a Labour court judge, Chaudhry Khaleeq Zaman, are bailable. The court has directed the DCO to appear before the court on December 14 and submit a clarification report. Amir Sheikh, a junior clerk who used to work at the DCO Office was fired and filed a petition in the court seeking orders that he be reinstated. The court had directed the DCO to reinstate Sheikh but the DCO has not yet complied with the orders. The petitioner approached the court again, filing a contempt of court petition against the DCO. Ahad Cheema had been summoned by the court on Friday but he did not appear before the judge.
