Workshop: Importance of ethical review at SIUT
Efforts were underway for CBEC to make it the regional collaborative centre of WHO.

A three-day workshop entitled on ‘national workshop on strengthening ethical review committees’ has been started on Thursday by the Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Culture (CBEC) of SIUT in collaboration with EMR-WHO and PMRC.
In addition to a postgraduate diploma in biomedical ethics and a masters in bioethics, the centre also organises short courses and workshops in research and clinical ethics not only at SIUT but nationally and in other regional countries, said Prof. Farhat Moazam, the chairperson of centre. She said that the efforts were underway for CBEC to make it the regional collaborative centre of WHO.
