Fertillise College: Teachers threaten to boycott classes for indefinite period
Protest against the allegedly indecent behaviour of a deputy manager at the college.
FAISALABAD:
Academic staff of the National Fertiliser College (NFC) in Faisalabad on Thursday staged a protest against the allegedly indecent behaviour of a deputy manager at the college. The staff boycotted the classes and took out a rally on the Faisalabad-Jaranwala Road.
They also staged a sit-in on the road suspending traffic for a couple of hours. The protesters held banners demanding immediate resignation of the deputy manager.
Addressing the rally, several teachers vowed that teaching would resume at the college only if the DM was removed from the office. They said they had taken to the streets after the administration had failed in taking any measures to redress the situation. They said students had also complained against the highhanded attitude of the said official.
