Wrestling: Indian squad denied entry again

The team is now likely to arrive today after filing an application to Indian officials.

LAHORE:

The Indian wrestling squad was unable to enter Pakistan for the second consecutive day as it emerged that their visas do not allow them to travel to the country on foot.

The wrestlers, who are scheduled to take part in the second Indo-Pak Dangal competition, have been trying to enter Pakistan through the Wagah Border for the past two days.

The team is now likely to arrive today after filing an application to Indian officials.

“The Indian team will arrive today and the event will take place, but its dates will now be announced after their arrival,” said the event’s organising secretary Khawar Shah.
