PMC overcome Afghan FC in football league
Usman scores lone goal, Kiran clears coaching course.
KARACHI:
PMC Athletico recorded a victory in the Pakistan Premier Football League by edging out Afghan FC 1-0 at the PMC Football Ground in Faisalabad.
Mohammad Usman was the match-winner for Athletico as his goal in the 22nd minute proved decisive and gave his team the winning points.
Afghan FC’s forwards showed urgency after falling behind and made several attempts for an equalising goal. However, Athletico’s defenders did a good job for the remainder of the game.
Kiran clears AFC coaching course
Meanwhile, Kiran Ilyas Gouri, the first woman football coach of Pakistan, has cleared the AFC ‘B’ Coaching Course in Malaysia. Gouri had been nominated by the Pakistan Football Federation. She was assistant coach at the 2010 South Asian Games and the inaugural Saff Women’s Championship in 2010.
