The Trade Ministry has clarified that the Pak-Afghan transit trade deal has not been signed yet.

ISLAMABAD:
The Trade Ministry has clarified that the Pak-Afghan transit trade deal has not been signed yet. He said it was only the minutes of the meeting that were signed.

In accordance with the deal, Afghan goods will be allowed to enter Pakistan, but will not be permitted to enter India via the Wagah border.


Instead, Afghan goods will be loaded onto Indian trucks on Pakistani soil.

The ministry also clarified that the routes Afghan trucks will take in Pakistan are still being determined and that the accord will be signed after all formalities are complete.
