Postings and transfers: ADB executive director’s term extended for two years

Asian Development Bank (ADB) Executive Director Siraj S Shamsuddin’s term has been extended for another two years with effect from November 26, says the notification issued by the Establishment Division. He is posted at the Bank’s office in Manila, Philippines.
Awaiting posting in the Establishment Division (ED), Iftikhar Hussain Baber, a District Management Group (DMG) officer, was promoted to Grade 21 and posted as Prime Minister (PM) Secretariat additional secretary.
PM Secretariat Senior Joint Secretary Sikandar Ismail Khan has been transferred to the National Food Security and Research Division. In another development, BS-20 DMG officer Tahir Ali Shah, a joint secretary in the Ministry of Human Rights, was transferred to the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat on deputation.
Planning and Development Division Joint Secretary Muhammad Ashraf has also been transferred to the Ministry of National Disaster Management. Jawad Paul, a BS-19 DMG officer, has been appointed to BS-20 on Acting Charge basis. Paul was a Pakistan Telecommunication Authority director.
Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officer Asif Iqbal Mohammad, presently posted in the Frontier Constabulary, was transferred and his services were placed at the disposal of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government with immediate effect.
Dr Asif Tufail, currently posted in the Sindh government, has also been transferred and his services were placed at the disposal of Punjab government with immediate effect.
The Establishment Division notified that Capt (retd) Faridud Din has been transferred to the Capital Development Authority (CDA). He was formerly Islamabad Capital Territory Administration assistant commissioner.
